Preview

One of the most common problems audiences have with independent movies is poor sound quality.  Often a result of overwhelming ambience, boom handling noise, poor recording technique and improper microphone placement, poor audio makes it difficult for audiences to become engaged in the movie.

This module walks you through how to properly record audio on location.  Learn the different microphone types, which microphone to choose, how to record sync sound, proper boom handling techniques, how to optimize the on-set sound quality, and how to work with other departments on set for optimal sound quality.
